Oki s ML674000 ARM based MCU provides two flexible choices for clock signal generation: crystal connectivity or direct clock input. The crystal oscillation circuit provides a low cost solution while the clock input from sources such as crystal oscillators provides a more stable simpler design solution.

This document provides examples of crystal oscillation circuits that Oki has previously tested with ML674000 MCU. The following designs are provides as examples only. The designer should verify the circuits and make consideration for other factors that may affect the performance of the oscillation circuit.

Also, the designer should be aware that oscillator circuits can be designed in numerous other configurations with other components. Examples described below are simply a few configurations that Oki has tried and tested with its MCUs.
