Interfacing the ML87V3104 QVGA to SVGA LCD Controller and the ML674000 Microcontroller
Application Note
Documents
Many of today's industrial and consumer microcontroller applications require a QVGA to SVGA LCD. Consequently, a key feature of the stand-alone microcontrollers used in these types of applications is the ability to drive an LCD controller. This application note describes the typical hardware and software interface between an Oki ARM-powered advantage™microcontroller and the ML87V3104 LCD controller. As a working example, we show how to configure a display subsystem that consists of the following components:
| » |
Oki ML674000 microcontroller |
| » |
Oki ML87V3104 LCD controller with built-in buffer memory |
| » |
Guntz TCS-AP1 touchscreen controller board | Schematics and sample code are provided for configuring and controlling the LCD through the memory interface of the ML674000 microcontroller. This information can be readily modified to accommodate applications that use other Oki advantage microcontrollers and the ML87V3104 LCD controller. |
