Oki’s ZigBee solutions offer flexibility and superior integration to
ease the use of wireless technology in today’s embedded
designs.

Oki’s single chip IEEE802.15.4 solution “makes wireless easy” by
incorporating the IEEE802.15.4-2003 MAC commands directly into the radio. The incorporation of the 15.4 MAC
eliminates the need for the developer to ensure servicing of the low level
timing critical functions of the radio and creates a simple API structure to be
utilized for interfacing the radio.
Oki’s single chip ZigBee solution brings to the market a unique
solution offering not only ZigBee in a chip, but in addition the ability to run
the users complete application in the device. Oki offers the largest on chip RAM
ZigBee solution available! The
large on chip RAM allows for more complex devices and applications to be
services with Oki’s solution.
Couple with it’s low power consumption characteristics, Oki leads the way
in single chip ZigBee solutions.
Oki’s ZigBee Developers Kit contains all the necessary elements to
allow rapid proof of concept and prototype product development. The kit contains
the Oki ML7065 radio and Oki's ARM7TMDI-based 4060 Series Advantage
Microcontroller. The key hardware element of the ZDK is the ZigBee Network
Evaluation/Demo (zNED) board featuring Oki's ML7065 radio and ML67Q4061 ARM7
MCU. Additionally the kit includes
hardware and software solutions to allow experimentation and development with PC
based Zigbee products and complete 802.15.4/ZigBee network analysis right out of
the box.
Oki has been involved with IEEE802.15.4 since 2002 and is one of the
early members of the ZigBee alliance.
Oki produced its first IEEE802.15.4 radio in June of 2004. The following January an IEEE802.15.4
MAC was added to the device, to become the world’s first IEEE802.15.4 single
chip solution, known as Oki’s ML7065.
In June of 2005 the ML7065 was successfully used in a ZigBee platform
that attained ZigBee Compliant Platform (ZCP) certification. These efforts have become the foundation
of Oki’s ZigBee solutions. Oki is
pushing forward with additional ZCP certifications and creating complete
solutions for it’s customers to quickly and easily implement systems using Oki
semiconductors and ZigBee technology.
