 Video Noise-Reduction LSIs

OKI Semiconductor has industry-leading technology for reducing video noise caused by various conditions including weak signal, RF interference and CCD/CMOS sensor camera sources in low light environments. OKI’s unique video noise reduction HQNR (High Quality Noise Reduction) uses advanced motion detection and compensation techniques between lines, frames and fields with edge compensation to achieve unparalleled performance with minimal resolution deterioration. The filtering is done in the digital domain utilizing an internal DRAM-based FIFO memory providing a single chip solution.

LCD Graphic Display Controllers

OKI Semiconductor's LCD controller LSIs are designed for small and mid-size LCD monitors. They have integrated video decoders that are compatible with the three major video standards (NTSC, PAL, SECAM). OKI Semiconductor's video signal processing technology efficiently handles the necessary functions such as scaler, on-screen display (OSD) and I/P conversion providing the highest quality video on mid and small size LCD monitors without the need for an external large-capacity memories. They are compliant to ISO/TS16949 and offer high reliability for use in a wide range of temperature environments including surveillance display monitors, automotive LCD display for in car navigation systems, automotive entertainment systems and back-up cameras.

MPEG-4 Encoder LSI

The ML86410 is an LSI that encodes YUV (YCbCr) digital video signals into MPEG-4 Simple Profile or Advanced Simple Profile data streams in real time. OKI Semiconductor's proprietary algorithm implements unique high speed/quality motion search techniques and encoding rate control into a dedicated hardware accelerator providing the highest quality MPEG-4 video available. The high quality video is maintained even with fast movement or at low bit rates due to its complex movement detection abilities and precise control of the encoded data. Our LSI offers lower power consumption and significant cost reduction over other solutions including DSP based systems. It is ideal for use in remote webcam and security applications.
