ML8953
MEMS-based 3D Accelerometer with
digital output, temperature sensor and factory calibration.
Documents:
Description The ML8953 is a 3-axis accelerometer based on
the piezo-resistive sensing principle and that provides data output in a digital
format.
The internal logic circuitry consists of a MCU with embedded Flash ROM, and
by supporting both I2C and SPI interface to host controller, the
ML8953 flexibly addresses customer needs in terms of connectivity. The internal
MCU offers several features that allow taking much of operational load off the
customer’s host controller. The internal Flash ROM is used also to store factory
calibration data, taking the additional calibration steps off the customer’s
manufacturing line.
Features:
- MEMS-based 3D Accelerometer
- Detects static and dynamic
acceleration on three orthogonal axes
- Digital output: temperature,
acceleration (component and vector), roll/pitch angles
- Factory calibration and
internal temperature compensation
- Automatic
measurement, continuous or interruption mode, polling mode, average output
- Programmable trigger
threshold of acceleration levels
