How do I evaluate the MSM9831 using an Oki Semiconductor Board?
Descriptive Answer:
Oki Semiconductor recommends the following standard procedure.
(1) Prepare the MSM9831 Evaluation Board, Voice tool AR204 or AR205
(2) Program* voice ROM data into an EPROM prepared with the MSM9831 Eva Board at factory shipment, on AR204 or AR205 system.
(3) Add the Programmed EPROM on the MSM9831 Eva Board and start evaluation.
(4) After checking voice quality and IC operation, proceed to manufacturing mask ROM Entry with Oki Semiconductor.
If customers have problems during evaluation on their PCB they can put manufacturing masked MSM9831-xxxMA into the 8pin SOP socket on the MSM9831 Demo Board and start evaluation.
