Descriptive Answer:
VoicePRO2 contains the following programs: VpMain.exe: Waveform Editor. This program launches a waveform editor window that displays recorded data in waveform. Within this window viewing area, user can edit and manipulate the wave form in ways such as increasing and decreasing amplitude, applying fade-in and fade-out, silencing, copying and pasting, deleting, mixing, changing pitch, changing sampling frequency, and inserting a wave, etc. The program also allows user to setup options such as different synthesis method, i.e. PCM or ADPCM, recording and playing back the voice. There are three file format that you can save your voice data to using the File | Save As command: VoicePRO files (*.pcm), ONSAKU File (*.pcm) and WAVE files (*.wav).

VpComb.exe: Composite Playback Editor. This program is a powerful and handy tool that enables you to save a lot of memory space while maintaining desired variety of sound phrases to be reproduced and then stored in ROM. It allows you to gather multiple pieces of digitally recorded word or word groups, put them in order, adding pause, silence or other effects and adjust sound level, as required.

VpRomf.exe: ROM File Editor. This program allows you to generate the ROM file format known as Intel HEX format from the files you have recorded, edited, manipulated and evaluated by using the Waveform Editor and Composite Playback Editor. OKI will only accept the Intel HEX file format to program the voice data in case of a Mask ROM speech device.

VpRomw.exe: ROM Writer Controller. This program allows you to control the ROM Writer (comes with AR204) and program the ROM or OTP chips using the Intel HEX files you generated with the ROM File Editor.
