What methods are available for programming the on-chip Flash of Oki’s ML67Q4051 MCU on the AME-51 board?

Descriptive Answer:
Oki’s AME-51 Evaluation Kit offers two convenient methods of programming the internal Flash of the on-board ML67Q4051 MCU. The two methods are:

1. The IAR EWARM software development tool-suite provided in the kit has a built in Flash programmer that can program the on-chip Flash through the JTAG-debugger connection. For details on using this tool, refer to the document “AME-51 IAR EWARM Startup Guide” available on the CD that is included with the Kit.

2. Boot-ROM serial Flash programming can be done through the UART0 port of the board/MCU. For configuring the board to operate in this mode, refer to the AME-51 Hardware Users Manual. There is also a Windows utility available for automating serial programming. The utility is called ISFP and is available on the CD that is included with the Kit. Refer to ISFP documentation and startup guide for tool usage.
