Yes. The boot-ROM of ML674K and ML675K MCUs, are designed to function at various MCU clock frequencies and various baud rates on the UART serial download port. For this purpose, upon startup, a binary zero filled file (zero.dat file) should be transmitted to the UART port so that the boot-ROM firmware can initialize the UART frequency appropriately.
